Feathered Friends Day: Bird Dissection Workshop with Museum Scientists
Join us for this exclusive, one-of-a-kind program. You'll enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of the Collections & Research Division led by Museum scientists Matthew Halley, Ph.D. and Ashley Kempken. After learning about the fascinating research happening at the museum, you'll work in pairs, under Matthew and Ashley's guidance, to dissect a bird specimen and learn about bird anatomy firsthand. This program is for ages 18 and up. Pre-registration is required. Space is limited to 10 participants.
*NOTE: All dissected specimens and supplies remain at the museum, you'll leave with great photos and memories.
